Flat  Less management levels, with each controlling a larger group.

4 Organizational Structures
Tall  Traditional corporate structure with upper level management and mid base management.

In a matrix organizational structure, employees and managers from different teams work together to complete a specific project. Matrix

6 Organizational Structure Centralized vs Decentralized
Decentralized- Office in two or more locations, with multiple managers necessary Centralized- One office, one main person in charge

7 Organizational Structure
Some factors that influence organizational structure: Size of the organization Potential for growth Ease of expansion Strength of the organization Real estate and cost

8 Organizational Structure
There is no “perfect” organizational structure and many organizations have combinations of these structures at different levels. Regardless of the organizations structure, the managers primary functions of Planning, Organizing, Leading or Directing, and Evaluating or Controlling remain the same.
