2. Her name is Iman Abdulmajid
Her name is Iman Abdulmajid. She was the world’s 1st black supermodel, originally from Somalia, but now has become a business tycoon. She was married to the late David Bowie since 1992.
During the last famine that hit Somalia, she said “No Somali mother should have to choose which child to pick up and feed, and which toddler to lay down and “leave him behind to his God on the road”.
She campaigns for the betterment of her people. She took on the role of human rights activist and serves as an ambassador to Save the Children. She is active in raising awareness of their relief services in East Africa.
