ESB Networks Market Release Management: Delivery of agreed changes, in Packages of work Today , propose to plan for Market Releases along agreed timelines with Planning for each release up to 12 months in advance This presentation outlines proposals for Market Releases in A November 2009 B May 2010 C and indicative timeframe of October 2009 to start planning for a release in November 2010

Networks SAP ISU Upgrade is due to go-live in Mid-April the delivery of this , and support for the upgrade in the period immediately afterward is priority work up to June. RMDS have worked with yourselves to shortlist 11 MCRs for delivery An initial assessment of the effort involved has been carried out , and while it is subject to more detailed work following the upgrade implementation, we are today signalling indicative proposals for a November 2009 Market Release. And it is also proposed to have a further release in May 2010 We would like to agree proposals with the IGG for a November 2009 Market Release A and a May 2010 Release B , and following on from that to proceed to plan in greater detail. We are asking Retail Market Participants for your comments , by March 19th, and in particular if you could let us know if you have any independent issues with the timings presented.

ESB Networks Market Release : 2. Content of Market Release A - Proposals …continued. As previously stated, RMDS have worked with yourselves to shortlist 11 MCRs Based on the initial assessment of the shortlisted MCRs, we propose that there would be a November 2009 Market Release and that the proposed content of Release A : November would include the following 6 MCRs MCR New MP Extranet Web Service MCR Versioning of 341 message and new 342 MM for QH Export * MCR MM sent when QH Meter removed MCR Addition of Vunerable customer flag to 102 MM - Part * MCR Recalculation of Consumption estimates v * MCR Delivery of 106d message to EirGrid * Requires schema changes

The proposed content of Release B : May would include the remaining 5 MCRs MCR SOLR process * MCR Increase the threshold for connection agreement in COS MCR Include Meter Multiplier on Extranet MCR0171 # Proposal to add Acceptance/Completion/Cancellation * message to Meter Works design (new 131 MM) MCR0152 # Vunerable Customers Phase * * Requires schema changes Notes For MCR0162 it may be possible to include aspects in the Nov 2009 release 2. # provisionally included are MCR0171 and MCR0152 which require further work to progress For each of these 3 MCRs we will revert back to yourselves by mid-June

We are looking for responses from Market Participants to items raised today by Thursday 19th March Comments to Feedback on the comments will be circulated to all Retail MPs by Thurs 2nd April and by Mid-June we will be looking to come to an agreement on the content and scheduling of Market Release MCRs finally, recommend that you do not proceed to Build until this agreement is reached

All changes will be to the existing MPCC and messaging infrastructure For every release, a formal release of the XML schema will be planned for delivery 3 months prior to go-live.

Scope of Changes to XML Schema Release A : MCRs require changes to the schema 1 new Market Message viz MM 342 3 existing messages are being changed viz 341, add vulnerable customer flag to 102, add new field to 300 Release B : MCRs require changes to the schema 1 new Market Message (131) # 8 existing messages are being changed # viz Outbound: 010, 013, 016, 017 Inbound: 114, 116, 101, 105 1 extra data value in existing field viz new Read Arrangement code * Notes * The extra data value may be included in Release A viz new Read Arrangement code # Provisionally included are MCR0171 and MCR0152 which require further work to progress, as previously stated
