Today is No Pens Day Wednesday!

What’s that?

It’s a whole day where we won’t use any pens; we’re not writing things down, but using our talking and listening all day. No to writing and Yes to talking and listening!

So far, 2,500 schools have done No Pens Day Wednesday!
It happens once a year – although some schools love it so much, they do it lots more! Schools all over the country will be doing it too. So far 2,500 schools have done it.

But what is No Pens Day Wednesday for?

Before bringing up images, ask if any students have their own ideas as to why listening and talking are really important skills to have – imagine the things we wouldn’t be able to do if we couldn’t communicate with other people? Click to bring up images and make it clear to students that talking and listening help us to: - learn, make friends and help us with our reading and writing

At the end of the lessons, you can say what you liked and what you didn’t like.

At the end of the day, we’ll find out what everyone thinks about No Pens Day Wednesday – do you think it will be a thumbs up or a thumbs down?
