Daily 10 minute activities from Phase 1 - Playing with Sounds
Foundation 2
Begin with Phase 2 when all the class are able to orally blend and segment

Should receive daily 20 minute phonics teaching

Spelling strategies are taught
Phonics is taught as a whole class with additional catch - up sessions for new arrivals

7. The Offer and Funding
Core 2 schools have now been selected.
Schools who applied for core 2 and who were not selected will be offered Universal training
We have the capacity to support 10 additional schools in the Universal programme
Work is underway to allow us to spread some the messages more rapidly.
All training will be funded by WIT

8. Application Process
Schools will be sent a letter and audit form. Those wishing to apply for universal will need to complete and return this.
