3rd Amendment No quartering of troops in private homes during war or peace

4th Amendment Police cannot search your things or take something (seizure) without a warrant

5th Amendment A criminal must be formally accused of his or her crime
No double jeopardy- cannot go to trial twice for the same crime You cannot be forced to testify in court against yourself.

6th Amendment You have the right to a fair and speedy trial which includes: An impartial (fair) jury An attorney on your side

7th Amendment The right to have a jury in a civil trial (someone is suing someone else).

8th Amendment Bail and/or punishment cannot be cruel or unusual

9th Amendment The first eight amendments to the Constitution are not the only rights that the people have. There are many rights that are not listed. RIGHTS

10th Amendment All power not given to the Federal government is saved for the state governments.
