5 Key Achievements since Beijing 2013
Task 1: Populate functioning properties (FPs)  Populated FPs for 101 health conditions  FPs now visible in ICD-11 beta-browser Task 2: Identify mirror coding  Further refinements have been made to mirror coding report Task 3: Outline use cases for ICD-ICF Joint Use Further refinements have been made to paper on use cases Task 4: Suggest revision of former Z-codes (now Ch.24)  WHO restructured chapter 24 based on the recommendations made during Beijing meeting, ICPC-2 and internal WHO discussions functioning Topic Advisory Group (fTAG) supports WHO in developing formal representations of ICD-ICF relationships in the context of developing the ICD-11 The presence of FPs in the iCAT is designed to promote the recognition of the association between disease and functioning/disabilities by clinical specialists - a reminder of what clinicians already know from their clinical practice

6 What we did here in Barcelona…
Task 1: Populate functioning properties (FPs)  Discussed next steps toward facilitating ICD-ICF joint use based on FPs including options for coding using FPs Task 2: Identify mirror coding  Working group session to examine a refined draft of the mirror coding report on 5 health conditions Task 3: Outline use cases for ICD-ICF Joint Use  Discussed possible utility in promoting ICD-ICF joint use and possibility of proposing study within the ICD-11 field trials Task 4: Suggest revision of former Z-codes (now Ch.24)  Working group session to review and provide feedback on the current version of chapter 24 available on ICD-11 beta-browser functioning Topic Advisory Group (fTAG) supports WHO in developing formal representations of ICD-ICF relationships in the context of developing the ICD-11 The presence of FPs in the iCAT is designed to promote the recognition of the association between disease and functioning/disabilities by clinical specialists - a reminder of what clinicians already know from their clinical practice

7 Key Priorities for Task 1a: Functioning properties (FPs)  Make recommendations for instructions for ICD-ICF joint use in ICD-11 Volume 2 Task 1b: Functioning properties (FPs)  Coordinate with WHO to optimize visualisation of FPs in ICD- 11 beta-browser Task 2: Mirror Coding  Revise mirror coding report based on feedback received during working group sessions in Barcelona functioning Topic Advisory Group (fTAG) supports WHO in developing formal representations of ICD-ICF relationships in the context of developing the ICD-11 The presence of FPs in the iCAT is designed to promote the recognition of the association between disease and functioning/disabilities by clinical specialists - a reminder of what clinicians already know from their clinical practice

8 Key Priorities for Task 3: Outline use cases for ICD-ICF Joint Use Make further refinements based on feedback from fTAG members, highlighting added value of joint use Task 4: Review Chapter 24 (former Z-codes)  Acquire more in-depth understanding of the current version of chapter 24  Develop a coherent and ontologically-sound conceptual foundation that could serve as the basis for restructuring chapter 24 functioning Topic Advisory Group (fTAG) supports WHO in developing formal representations of ICD-ICF relationships in the context of developing the ICD-11 The presence of FPs in the iCAT is designed to promote the recognition of the association between disease and functioning/disabilities by clinical specialists - a reminder of what clinicians already know from their clinical practice
