The expression is unclear, wordy, weak, awkward, ugly or imprecise.
When words exclude, mystify, confuse or obscure truth, the language fails to do its job: communicate!
Avoid this type of jargon!

Using big words where small words will do
Using unnecessary words, using too many prepositional phrases
