4 Search the state register
Anyone can now go to the VRQA’s web site and search for a provider or a qualification. If a provider is on the register it means they have satisfied the VRQA that they meet required quality standards. You can search for providers via: Provider name Provider type Location (and surrounding areas) Postcode In the Search results you will see: Provider registration type – ESOS, senior secondary, VET, higher education and overseas student exchange organisation Location via google maps Contact information Links to provider website (if available) Campus information Annual report (schools only) Link to VCAA website for senior secondary providers – search for VCE/VCAL subjects

5 From 12-31 August we advertised in metropolitan and regional newspapers.
In July, before we advertised we received 35,990 visitors to the VRQA’s web site. In August, during the advertising, we received 57,121 visitors. The advertisement coincided with the period that parents of kindergarten students are choosing a primary school. We will advertise the site again in Nov/Dec to coincide with VTAC change of preference period.

6 Online enquiries and complaints
The VRQA moved to an online enquiry and complaints system in June 164 enquiries and 35 complaints have been received via the web forms

7 The Qualifications Navigator: a key to skills reform
A single online point to access clear, easy-to-find information about education and training. Students can: Browse for qualifications, units and providers in Victoria Build a ‘learning’ profile – by “adding to cart” units completed, Students can see what has been achieved and how much they will need to do to complete the qualification See what other qualifications they have credit towards Check for local providers of interested qualifications

8 Where we began The State Register project supports informed choice and the VRQA’s quality assurance procedures. Informed choice and quality assurance depends on everyone in the education and training market having appropriate access to authoritative information. For learners, families, careers advisers, employers this means having user-friendly access to meaningful and accurate information. For the VRQA it is the public face of its regulatory role.
