Jamara randomly sampled 241 students from her middle school about their favorite subjects. Complete the following 2 way table based on her results. Of the 86 students who prefer math, 27 of them were 8th graders and 24 were 6th graders. 50 students choose Language Arts as their favorite subject. Of the 82 8th graders that were surveyed, 13 preferred Social Studies and 20 preferred Language Arts 11 6th graders chose Social Studies as their favorite, while 19 of them chose Language Arts Of the 69 students who preferred Science, 15 were in 7th grade.

A 6th grade student is selected at random from Jamara’s school and asked about their favorite subject at school. What would you expect for them to choose? Explain your thinking. What is the relative frequency for those who selected math as their favorite subject? Interpret the meaning in sentence form. Is there an association between grade level and favorite subject? Explain your thinking in sentence form.
