2 Overview Submissions up 42% November 2016 vs. November 2015
Number of submissions 8,442 ytd versus 5,959 Beer submissions down 7.5% vs 2015 where Beer submissions were down 20% vs 2014 Non-approval rates: 7.7% in 2014 / 5.6% in 2015 / 9.8% in 2016 Non-approval rates have increased due to the introduction of 9.4 to the ASAI code & the requirement to not approve material that does not contain RM

Approval rate in 2016 of 92.2% 85% of all submissions were created in Ireland versus 75% in 2015 and 68% in 2014 Increase in Irish submissions driven by move to on-line activations

4 Overview – On-line On-line comprises the single largest ‘medium’ with 56.4% of all submissions 18.5%: owned on-line 38%: paid for on-line This is a significant shift on 2015 where on-line comprised 35.9% of all submissions 20.1%: owned on-line 15.8%: paid for on-line Note: Owned on-line frequently comprise multiple submissions

5 Overview OOH – 17.3% of all submissions, in 2015 OOH accounted for 25.9% of all submissions Similarly, TV is down to 6.7% (564 in 2016) from 9.7% (578 in 2015)

6 Overview 77.1% of all submissions come from Irish based Advertising / Marketing Agencies 10% of total submissions come from Media based Irish Agencies 80% of material is created in Ireland 14% created elsewhere

8 Approval Rates Non-approval rates have increase in 2016 due to the inclusion of 9.4 in the 7th ASAI code – RM must be included in marketing communications
