III. What You Should Thank Christ For…
IF you are a Christian, this Thanksgiving in addition to thanking God for family, friends, food, provision for you and your family, FIRST … Thank Christ for where you are now, what He is doing in your life now Thank Christ for where you have come from Thank Christ for bestowing abounding mercy, grace, and love on you Thank Christ for coming to save a sinner such as you Thank Christ for the future He has for you and for how He might use you Praise God IF you are struggling with forgiveness, one of the main points of 1 Timothy 1:12-17 is that forgiveness is based on God’s abounding mercy and grace. God’s forgiveness of Paul establishes the principle that God will forgive any sinner of all sin. IF you are not a Christian, Thanksgiving will gain a whole new meaning when you give thanks to God for forgiveness of your sin. Jesus came to save sinners to forgive sinners. Look to Jesus and you will be saved.
