Using Statistics to ensure the product is of the required standard. To ensure product quality you will need to ensure that the required percentage meets the requirements. Example A batch of matches have their contents tested. If more than 5% of the boxes have less than 50 matches then the batch is failed. When 400 boxes are tested, 21 had less than 50 matches. Solution 21 %Failed = x 100% = 5.25% 400 Failed
