SECRETARY OF STATE’S OFFICE CAMPAIGN FINANCE MODERNIZATION PROJECT
Certification Phase: INITIATION Executive Sponsor: Maggie Toulouse Oliver Project Manager: Kari Fresquez Date: 6/27/2018
2
PROJECT OVERVIEW This project is the foundation to the implementation of a modern electronic campaign finance reporting system, as required by the NM Election Code. The current campaign finance reporting system was implemented in 2010, but can no longer meet the reporting capability expectation bestowed upon the SOS by statute and the public. This modernization project will enable the SOS, and the entities required by law to disclose financial information to the office, to meet all requirements outlined in the applicable statutes, including the new system requirements outlined in HB105 that become effective in December 2017.
