World Crest
Symbol associated with World Scout Flag and sole insignia common to all scouting movements.
First used during 1955 World Jamboree
1956 – BSA stated all scouts and scouters that had participated in approved ‘international activity or event’ worn to and from event
1991 – BSA changed policy to make the World Crest required for all uniforms
1957 – allowed those that participated to wear continuously, majority of those that earned from Transatlantic or Far East Councils
1980 – rules relaxed to allow scouts and scouters that had taken part in an international exhibit or display whether or not scouts from another country present.
1989 – Any one allowed to wear it as symbol of brotherhood.

Mission - to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.
Vision - By 2023 Scouting will be the world’s leading educational youth movement, enabling 100 million young people to be active citizens creating positive change in their communities and in the world based on shared values.

Put on World Jamboree every four years. Put on Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet every October. Regional Scout conferences around the globe. Supports service projects
