Cree language and culture resources have been developed for Band schools since 1977
Curriculum for Nursery to Grade 12 Instructional program
A scope and sequence with fully developed units and relevant print resources
Work on the Cree language started up again January 2018 after a period of non-production (lack of funding)

The CRU offers conversational Cree classes twice a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and there has been a big demand for more evening classes
LLRIB schools host 4 language festivals per year, each of our band schools hosts a festival
The 1st Annual Cree Immersion Camp was held at Youth Haven in August 2018 and will be offering another one in August which will be open to anyone interested in learning the Cree language, if you are interested, please call
