A Note from the Teacher
What’s Happening in...
Hi everyone! I can’t believe it is already May! I wanted to let you know that through the remainder of May I will be teaching all day. Mrs. LaVassar is still in and out of the classroom and we plan together, but I am doing the daily teaching.
I am really enjoying getting to know your children, they have made me feel so welcome here. I am looking forward to the coming weeks!
Math: We are finishing up our unit on place value and addition and subtraction this week. Next week we will start learning about shapes.
Science: We are working on habitats! Last week we learned about oceans, and this week we are learning about deserts.
Writing: We have been working on writing realistic fiction series.
Reading: We are continuing with reading groups and spelling each week.
