HOW? Ways to Organise an Individual Service Fund
Organisation can use commissioned funding and create ISF’s for each person –(INCLUSION MODEL) Contract with LA (Person third party) Local Authority asks the organisation to manage an ISF on behalf of someone –(OPTION 2 SDS ACT SCOTLAND) Contract with LA(person third party) The person or family has a Direct Payment and asks you to manage all or a part of this as an ISF Contract with Person or family (LA Third Party) This bit really is about identifying the different ways an ISF can sometimes be contracted Inclusion Glasgow is 20 years Old this year and has ran solely using ISF’s before and after the ACT Some people will have been assessed for SDS and some wont. The contractual arrangements change dependent on who asks you to manage the ISF but really is always a THREE WAY CONTRACT THE PERSON THE ORGANISATION AND THE LA

What is an ISF do we know when we see one?
ITS EASY FOR PEOPLE TO ADOPT THE LANGUAGE IT’S A CHALLENGE TO CONSIDER ALL THE ASPECTS WHICH MAKE AN ISF MEANIGNFUL FOR SOMEONE AND A VEHICLE FOR HELPING THEM TAKE CONTROL OR GET A GOOD LIFE
