1. 6. Records the stimuli being manipulated using a 10-s MTS method for 5 minutes
The data sheet on this slide is an example of how you will be recording the items that your client manipulates. As you can see, each ten second period is indicated in the top left corner of each box. All of the items are listed at the top of the data sheet and have a corresponding item number. At each 10 second interval, the therapist observes the item the client is manipulating at that moment and circles the corresponding number in that interval’s box. For example, at 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, 40 seconds, and 50 seconds, the client was manipulating the playdoh, then at 1 minute she was manipulating the maraca. You will record data in this fashion for a total of 5 minutes. The client must be touching the item in order for it to be recorded. If the client is simply looking at the an item, but not touching it, circle no choice during that interval.
