STEP 1: Determine the declension of the noun!
HOW? Look at the genitive singular ending
ex. puella, puellae (f.) – girl = 1st decl.
(this is the DICTIONARY FORM of a noun)
STEP 2: Find the “base” of the noun
HOW? Remove the genitive singular ending
ex. puella, puellae (f.) – girl
base = puell-

2. How to decline a noun, cont.
STEP 3: Add the correct declension endings!!! CASE NAME SING. PL. Nom. puell puell Gen. puell puell Dat. puell puell Acc. puell puell Abl. puell puell Voc. puell puell COOL!!!

3. PRACTICE!!! Decline the following nouns in the proper declension.
