England worried about the French Acadians of Acadia the newly acquired land from the colonial war. Acadians refuse to swear allegiance to the King of England because they did not want to fight against their brothers.

Acadians find refuge in Spanish Louisiana
1769 being exiled and not wanted finally find a home where they are wanted. ,000 Acadians are now apart of the Louisiana heritage and settle within what we now call the Acadiana Parishes (Cajun Triangle.) Bayou Teche
