Our Goals Developing relationships; team building Increasing the amount of time spent reading at the student’s reading level. 5 Attendance/Drop-Off/Pick-Up
The tardy bell rings at 8:00am. If a student is arriving after this time, they must be signed in by a parent or guardian, with Ms. Lopez. If a student is going to eat breakfast at school, he/she needs to arrive no later than 7:50am. This year, the official attendance time is 9:05am. Students need to be here by this established time to be counted present for the day. If your child is absent, send an absence note, on the student’s return. If you forget, we will send home a form as a reminder. 2:45 is the latest that students can be picked up early. After that time, the student will be dismissed during the regularly scheduled time. Be sure to bring ID when coming to the school.

6 Rotation Schedule This year our fifth grade classes have been divided into color groups. Students will know their color groups and will wear appropriate shoes for PE. We have Specials from 8:05am- 9:00am. Please make a note of your child’s color group. They will get into the routine pretty quickly, but may need reminders, to start the year. For the first day, make sure your child is prepared for P.E., by wearing appropriate footwear. Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday PE Red Orange Blue Green Purple MUSIC TECH ART/LIBRARY

7 SOAR Folder SOAR Folder Our school’s positive behavior incentive system includes using a SOAR Folder. This communication tool allows parents to see rewards, progress, as well as areas of concern. This folder also holds Rapid Rewards sheets, containing all of your child’s earnings. Please review the Acknowledgements, Praise, and Rewards page. Every Thursday, parents are to review and initial the SOAR Folder. The top part of the daily square is citizenship and the bottom part reflects study skills. Citizenship Work Habits
