Why do clowns wear loud socks? Lip flap – when a person on television can be seen talking but not heard. Goals – Discuss last week, handouts, anything interesting from the book. Watch court scene from the movie? Homework – Read and annotate chapter 29 for tomorrow. Don’t forget to study for vocab. 20. So they don’t fall asleep

Goals – Discuss lynching vs. justice. Watch the remainder of the TKAM trial scene. Homework – Read and annotate chapter 30. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary test # 20. Racketball.

English /22/18 Free write about anything related to To Kill a Mockingbird. Why do bees hum? Drooling – unrehearsed talking to fill in allotted radio or TV program time. Sometimes called “yata-yata-yata.” Goals – Complete watching the trial scene. Analyze Atticus’ closing argument. Homework – Finish the book if you have not done so yet. Don’t forget to study for vocabulary 20. They don’t know the words

Why did the girl drink seven cans of pop? Captation – An attempt to attain applause or recognition. Goals – Successfully complete Vocabulary 20. Work on Atticus’s closing argument outline and bottom of handout. Homework – Complete Atticus’ closing argument outline and the bottom of the form. Use complete sentences. Because she wanted to burp seven up.
