Students go to school Monday through Friday, and have elective classes on Saturdays. Students are required to wear uniforms for primaria (elementary school) and secondaria (middle school). School days are divided into two sessions, one for the morning and one for the afternoon.

9 Military Mexicos military is divided up into 6 sections. The Army, Air force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, and Independent forces. All citizens require a specific amount of military service. Men and women both serve in the Mexican military.

10 Transportation Mexico's land transportation network is one of the most extensive in Latin America with 356,000 kilometers of paved roads. In terms of road density, however, Mexico has one of the lowest rates among the major economies in the region. Most people travel by bus or taxi. The average price of gas is: $2.87 per gallon
