2 Objective & Purpose: Objective: Students will analyze the causes and course of the Ancient Civilizations by creating a travel brochure. Purpose: To explore the history Early Civilizations and understand the greater themes of the origins of human civilizations.

3 Assignment: Ancient Civilization Brochure
Using Chapter 2, Students will create an advertisement to try to attract people to visit one of the four Ancient Civilizations discussed in class. Work will be done individually. Must be colored.

5 Formatting Guide: Set page to Landscape setting, and create a text box with 3 columns. Project should the 1 page, front and back, with 3 columns on each side. NOTE: Library will be open during both lunches as well as after school.

6 Important Information to Include
Name of Ancient Civilizations Geographic Location Geographic Identifiers such as climate, mountain ranges, lakes/rivers. Include photos, maps, or graphics related to your area. What would attract tourists to your location? Any unique features of your Ancient Civilization.

7 Additional Information Ideas:
What modern cities are closest to your region? How much would a flight to that area cost from Las Vegas?* How much would a hotel cost?* What tourist attractions are there in the area? What historical sites are there? *Information can be found on travel websites like Travelocity or Hotwire.
