5 Please provide an overview of the current “issues” related to the State Bar from each of your perspectives.

6 Can you share the history of the “conflicts” over the bar’s functions, i.e. how did we get here?

8 What is each of your view on the ROLE of a state bar association in the legal profession AND in society?

9 We have heard a lot about whether the CA State Bar should be unified or de-unified.
How would you explain the difference between a “unified” bar association and a “de-unified” bar association? In your opinion, what are the pros and con of each for CA?

10 Have you seen or heard of another state bar association that you think is ideal or better than the CA state bar model? If yes, please explain the model and why you think it is better.

11 What are the various realistic options for a future CA state bar model and what are the expected consequences of said model?

12 If you could design the “work through” for how to get to the “right place” for the CA State bar, how would you describe your “re- design” plan?
