LOCAL SPRINT AND SLALOM EVENTS
Reading Canoe Club
Reading Canoe Club is holding a canoeing taster session on Sunday July 11th between 2pm and 5pm for people little or no paddling experience to try out a variety of canoeing disciplines. This fun event is aimed at all ages and sexes from 8 to 80 years to give a brief insight into the wonderful sport of canoeing.
People will be able to try out Bell Boating / Dragon boating, flat water canoe and kayaks, and slalom canoe and kayaks. All equipment will be provided free of charge by Reading Canoe Club along with British Canoe Union qualified coaches. Just bring a change of clothes and a towel in case you get wet!
Depending on numbers on the day, people will be split into groups (size, age, ability) and rotated around all the disciplines so that everyone can have a go at everything.
