Imagery is an image in its basic sense- is something concrete that appeals to any of the five senses- sight, smell, taste, sound, touch.
Example: A warm summer’s night may be described like this:
Sight: A full moon in a black sky
Smell: Freshly mown grass
Sound: Crickets chirping in the background
Taste: A refreshing glass of ice cold lemonade
Touch: A warm breeze
