2 Introduction Roger Williams created Providence, Rhode Island inspired a part of the Bill of Rights. Anne Hutchinson fled to Rhode Island after being banished. Early feminist and apart of the Antinomian Controversy. Thomas Hooker Founded Hartford, CT. Established the Fundamental orders.

Born on July 7 , 1586 and died on July 7, 1647 Attended Cambridge University Married Susannah Garbrand in 1626 He sailed to America on July 10 ,1633 with his family He was a supporter of the Christian Church

10 He started at Massachusetts Bay as a minister in the Puritan group.
Unlike his counterparts, Thomas Hooker was never banished from Massachusetts colony. He had left himself , after asking permission. As a result Hooker went on to start a new colony. Disagreement

11 Separation Started a new colony in Hartford, Connecticut.
100 other followers came with him to begin a new settlement. After he had settled he established the fundamental orders, the first democratic constitutional orders. It was an agreement between Hartford, Wethersfield, and Windsor , Connecticut. Separation
