1 “Fundamentally Wrong” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 05/30/2010 Dr. Dane Boyles

2 2 Corinthians 10:2-3 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

3 2 Corinthians 10:3 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

4 “Fundamentally Wrong”
We seem to live in a world governed by “the survival of the fittest.” Many believe this is how the world fundamentally works. Jesus wasn’t a weakling.

5 “Fundamentally Wrong”
He came, not just to make people kind, but also to make people strong. Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews “Your Kingdom come.”

6 “Fundamentally Wrong”
Jesus doesn’t call us to be weak! He has called us to wage a war to capture the human mind and spirit.

7 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

8 2 Corinthians 10:5 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

9 “Fundamentally Wrong”
Christians are not called to be weaklings; rather, we are called to be warriors. Many people believe life is all about competition. 16 “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” (Matt. 20:16)

10 Matthew 5:5 5 “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5).

11 “Fundamentally Wrong”
The strong do not really win. 16 “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” (Matt. 20:16) We are in a war, whether we know it or not.

12 “Fundamentally Wrong”
Remember Jesus’ words today, 16 “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” (Matt. 20:16) Remember that—and you’ll finally discover a mysterious strength.
