2 What do Giraffes Eat? Giraffes are herbivores.
They feed on more than one-hundred species. They also eat seventy pounds a day. Giraffes use their sense of smell to locate the leaves they want. They eat plants, leaves, fruit, and berries.

3 How Do Giraffes Use Their Necks?
Giraffes use their necks for a thing called necking. They wrap their necks tightly around each other. They are doing this for about two hours long. They either stand up or they sit down when they are necking.

4 I wonder what giraffes look like?
Giraffes are the tallest mammal in the world. Male giraffes are called bulls. Female giraffes are called cows A male giraffe can grow up to 18ft and a female can grow up to 15ft.

5 Where do giraffes live? Giraffes live in Africa and 3 other places.
They live where there are many trees. They can also live in herds and they stop to eat and drink. They live in a area called a home range.

6 I wonder how A GIRAFFE ACTS?
A giraffe needs less sleep than any other mammal. They recognize each other by the pattern of their markings. Most of the time they are silent.

7 Who are giraffes killed by?
Giraffes have few predators. They are killed for their hair and skin. Humans are a small threat to giraffes.
