First religious war in history.
Greek attempt to annihilate the Jews, by assimilation: threat to Jewish survival.
Assimilated Jews given power and privilege.
Orthodox Jews violent attempt to destroy assimilated Jews.
Orthodox concerned for truth, righteousness.
Today assimilation occurring in the church, immorality, pagan values/ideas replacing Biblical truth: e.g., gender change, marriage, abortion, murder, euthanasia…
Gospel truth Revelation 19:6-9

5. “Hallelujah. For our Lord the Almighty reigns
“Hallelujah! For our Lord the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.) Then the angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’” And he added, “These are the true words of God.” Revelation 19:6-9

6. Prayer of Commitment
Heavenly Father, I thank you that in your mercy and grace you sent your only begotten Son, Jesus, to come into this world as a fragile baby born from a mother’s womb just as I was, in order that He could demonstrate to me what it is to be a righteous person.
I confess to you that I am a sinner who needs redeeming, and I thank you Jesus that through faith in your death and your shed blood I am forgiven, washed in your blood as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world … (pause: meditate on what this means to you)

7. Thank you Jesus that as I have come to your cross you have transferred my future of death with your future of life forever, with you, the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Thank you that as a member of your Bride you are clothing me with the garment of salvation and the robe of righteousness. Will you give me the grace to prepare myself for that great and glorious day, the wedding supper of the Lamb, when I meet your Son, the Bridegroom.
