Working together with CIPP
The ACRD, Huu-ay-aht First Nation and the Bamfield Marine Science Centre were fortunate to work with the CIPP initiative to assist us working together on relationship building and service agreement development for Solid Waste Services in Bamfield. A working group was formed with representatives from all groups and FCM staff. Workshops consisted of both in person meetings and conference calls where we all participated. We are currently preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) which will be advertised in the near future. Once we have awarded the contracts for solid waste and recycling, staff from FCM will assist in preparing service agreements for cost sharing. The support of the FCM, CIPP program kept us focused and on course with our initiative. We have found it to be a beneficial program for all of us!
