2 Nibouche et al. 2014

3 Methods mtCOI Identification
FLORIDA LOUISIANA Sorghum (2013) Sugarcane (2013) Sugarcane (2016) ALABAMA TEXAS Sorghum (2015) Johnsongrass (2016) Sugarcane (2016) Sorghum (2013) To characterize the mtCOI haplotype, we used the following samples. Sequences used in Nibouche et al obtained from GenBank Alabama – Sorghum (2015), Johnsongrass (2016), sugarcane (2016) Louisiana – Sugarcane (2016) – two populations Texas – Sorghum (2013) Florida – Sorghum and sugarcane (2013) Nibouche et al. 5 Importance of Clonal Characterizations
U.S. populations 2007 Clonal lineage on sorghum associated with haplotypes from West Africa, Australia and China. Important to document clonal lineage used in laboratory studies.
