Ocean water that circulates or travels through all of Earth’s ocean basins
Global circulation consists of surface currents and deep water currents

3. What does global circulation do?
Transports material throughout Earth’s oceans such as oxygen and nutrients
Transports heat throughout Earth’s oceans

Deep currents are movements of ocean water far below the surface.
Surface currents are horizontal stream like of movements of water that occur at or near the surface of the ocean.
