Testing can no longer be a ‘silo’ed & sequential activity” that gets done once the Dev team has completed their work. Quality is often left “off to the side” and forces users to consume project management data and test data separately, when in fact, these two pieces of data belong together. In today’s world, it needs to be lot more integrated into the Agile practices for the entire team
Everyone owns quality in Agile teams
As DevOps practices become more prevalent, it has become quite clear that Testing has become a Team sport! There are more folks manually testing the product than you can imagine: Feature teams do a bug bash, Product managers play with the product, Execs prepare for keynote demos, Business experts do User Acceptance Testing, Early adopters use the product in real world scenarios etc. We believe that it will be years before manual testing gives way to 100% automation. Everyone wants to provide feedback and improve quality of the product.
