You Don't Have to Do It All By Yourself Chart Your Course to Success with Delegation Introduction for Ruth Levitsky Ruth joined Toastmasters at in In 1995 she became vice president of education, and shortly after had to take a six month leave of absence. During that time she learned delegated several of the duties of the vice president education role to other club members. Everything ran well. Then Ruth returned and did everything herself and everything didn’t run as smoothly. Ruth’s wishes she could say that she was a great delegator after her first experience. But too often, she wasn’t. She did get plenty of practice in Toastmasters and served in every club officer role and several district officer roles, including district governor. Ruth is an ATM-G/Competent Leader. Ruth’s favorite saying is “If you can’t be a good example, you’ll just have to serve as a horrible warning.” Today she will show us how to successfully include almost everyone in our clubs (or outside Toastmasters projects) in what we are doing. 12/8/2018 Toastmasters Leadership Institute, June 26, 2004
