4 Benefits to an Apprenticeship
No student debt Professional Qualifications- Depending on your service line/Apprenticeship route. Supported through by EY. Networks- EY offers a number of different networks to get involved in once you start- Women’s, Family etc Support you in building connections. Leadership programmes- senior support on projects from the get-go, so you can build your career by learning from the best. Volunteering- We encourage you to take time off to support charities, such as the EY Foundation, volunteering and fundraising EYU- Online learning platform, supporting you to develop your skills. Mentoring- Learn from those that have been there and done it- supporting you to build the skills and knowledge you need to progress. Training- We offer a wide range of formal and informal training sessions, delivered f2f, virtually or through webinars. 5 A range of different programmes
EY Choices- Available to all years, Parents and Careers Advisers and ran in a number of offices across the UK. Typically events run in Oct/Nov, March and July. Information is on the events section of the website. EY Business Academy- 1 week paid work experience for Year 12/S5 students. This programme runs in July each year and is run in a number of our offices across the UK. Applications open 1st November 2017 for 2018 intake. EY Smart Futures- 10 month work experience programme run by the EY Foundation. EY Degree Apprenticeship in Digital Innovation- First cohort started with us in September This programme offers school leavers the opportunity to join straight after their A levels and is a Level 6 apprenticeship- meaning they achieve the equivalent of a bachelor degree upon qualifying. We have partnered with ADA college in Tottenham and apprentices will balance on the job training within our Technology Consulting Team and 20% of their time at ADA studying for the degree. EY will fund their tuition fees and apprentices are paid a competitive salary. EY Business Apprenticeship- This programme lasts up to 5 years and offers school leavers the opportunity to start work straight after completion of their A levels. There are opportunities within Assurance, Consulting (ITRA), Tax & Transactions. Apprentices will study for a chartered qualification depending on the service line they join, whilst working at EY. 1 evening Available to all years 1 week For students in Year 12 or 5th Year Scotland 10 months For students in Year 12 or 5th Year Scotland 3 years For Year 13 students 5 years For students who are studying towards, or have completed A Levels, Scottish Highers or equivalent EY Choices EY Business Academy EY Foundation Smart Futures EY Degree Apprenticeship in Digital innovation Technology Consulting EY Business Apprenticeship Assurance IT Risk Assurance Tax Transactions

6 Your way into EY 4 step application process
Online application- Apply online through eyukcareers.com Strengths online assessments- You will be assessed on both your numerical and verbal reasoning in a series of tests. These will be shared in two phases- Stage 1 and Stage 2. Assessment centre- You’ll take part in a number of activities, including a paired exercise, group, individual and written exercise and gain the opportunity to meet current apprentices and graduates during the day. Partner interview- If successful post AC, you’ll be invited for a Partner interview shortly afterwards, who will be looking to understand your motivations for the role and programme. This may be a partner or on some occasions a Director and Senior Manager too depending on availability. We have a number of useful hints and tips and advice on our website to support you through the application process.
