Scenario Your star player, usually well behaved, cheap-shots an opponent behind the play. The referee does not see it, but you do. How do you handle this situation?

Scenario During the game you observe one of your players’ parents constantly coaching their child during the game. Often times his/her advise is the opposite or different than what you taught your players this week in practice. Parent approaches you after game or practice to offer you tips on how to be a better coach to their player and/or rest of the team. As usual the parent was an all state athlete but just doesn't have time to help coach the team. How do you handle the "constructive criticism".

Scenario It has been a challenging year, with wins few and far between. You have been playing everyone “equally.” As you get ready to play your last game of the season, a group of parents approach you and say, “You know, I think the kids could really use a win. Couldn’t you just play the better kids for this one game?” How do you respond? What do you do?

Scenario You have a policy that states that, if a player is late to practice, he or she must run laps. As you begin to administer this “punishment,” the parent of the player approaches you, and says that it isn’t fair to punish the child, because it was “his fault” the player was late. How do you handle this situation?

Scenario Your best player tells you she will be late for the game because she has another game for a different team across town. How do you handle this situation?
