5 Focused writing… Follow these instructions exactly to write the opening of a story inspired by one of the door images. Your first sentence must contain two adjectives. Your second sentence must include some sensory appeal (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell). Your third sentence must be a question. Your fourth sentence must contain exactly five words. Your fifth sentence must start with an adverb (e.g. quickly, slowly, suddenly) Your sixth sentence must not have any words which have less than two letters in them. Your seventh sentence must start with the word ‘When…’ Your eighth sentence must be at least ten words long. Your ninth sentence must contain a simile. Your tenth sentence must be a cliffhanger.
