2. Why you need water: Water is a necessity of life.
Depending on the temperature, without water you will live between 2-10 days.
Water makes up about 60% of your body. (mayoclinic.com)
Almost every single part of your body (inside and out) uses water to function properly.

3. What if we run out of water?
Water is a LIMITED resource.
If the world runs out of water, we are out of water. There is not a back-up source of water. What is here on earth is ALL we have.
Some places have started to experiment with ways of utilizing the resources they have to get the most out of every drop of water they use.
Read the article to see how some areas are experimenting with new methods of keeping people hydrated. As you read, do what the next slide asks.

Then write about this question: Would you be willing to drink the water if Utah decided to pilot a similar program? Why or why not?
Now, stand up. Those of you who chose that the process of cleaning, filtering human waste into drinking water was a GOOD idea-move to one side of the room.
Those of you who thought it was a BAD idea, move to the other side of the room.
