Rules of Simplifying Fractions
·If 1 is the numerator, you are in simplest form. ·If the digits are "next door" numbers, you are in simplest form. ·If the denominator is divisible by the numerator, then divide both by the numerator and you will be in simplest form.

·If you cannot use any of these steps, then you must factor both numerator and denominator to find the GCF to divide. ·If you factor out the numerator and denominator and 1 is the only common factor, you are in simplest form.
