Scintigraphic gastric emptying demonstrating accelerated or delayed gastric emptying. Scintiscans show the radiolabeled meal in the stomach, identified by the variable region of interest. The gamma camera quantitates the amount of radioactivity in the stomach, allowing for an estimation of the percentage of the meal emptied from the stomach at each time point.
