POINT OF VIEW – IN LITERATURE
First Person – “I” as the narrator. “A&P” is an example of first person. Second Person – “You” as the protagonist. “How to Become a Writer” is an example of this point of view. Third Person – “He/She” – Events are described by a third person.

Third Person - Types Third Person Limited – Story is told from a single character’s perspective. E.g. – “Gospel According to Mark” in told by a narrator, but the narrator only relates Espinosa’s view. Third Person Omniscient – Sometimes called “God’s eye”, the story is told through the thoughts and actions of many characters. E.g. – “Godfather Death.”
