1 FUJIN: a parallel framework for meteorological models
FUJIN is a framework for meteorological simulation models. Using this framework, existing models are easily parallelized, nested and coupled with minimal effort and minimal time. Features of the FUJIN modular and layered structure information hiding technique provides simple interface to the users paralleled by MPI parallel package data definition coupler model Any process of existing models are easily add to FUJIN’s model Existing model is easily plugged in the FUJIN and easily parallelized, nested and coupled. Functions of the FUJIN parallel computing 2 dimensional domain decomposition variable halo width domain nesting no limitation on nesting depth one way nesting coupling multi-model coupling atmosphere data exchange ocean sea ice task control land Structure of the FUJIN FUJIN is constructed with 3 layers and a atmospheric model.  Parallel package is basic parallel library package using MPI.  Data definition layer defines the data structure supports    parallelism and domain nesting.  Coupler controls each task and manages data exchange.  Model is based on CReSS and fully rewritten with Fortran 90.
