A proper adjective is an adjective formed from a proper noun. A proper adjective should begin with capital letter.

3 Proper Adjectives Sometimes you need to change the spelling of proper nouns to change them into proper adjectives. Examples: Japan, Japanese America, American Egypt, Egyptian, Italy, Italian England, English

4 Irregular There are also irregular spelling changes in proper adjectives. Example: France, French Wales, Welsh Norway, Norwegian

5 Guided Practice That large, old house is victorian.
Directions: Identify the proper adjective in the sentence. That large, old house is victorian. Most of the furniture in this room is asian. On the mantel is a small chinese vase. Are those beads korean?
