4. Treaty of Versaillies
On June 28, 1919, Germany and the Allied Nations (including Britain, France, Italy and Russia) signed the Treaty of Versailles, formally ending the war.
The Germans paid dearly in money and pride. They had to accept full guilt and disarm their military.

6. Reparations?
Reparations are payments made form one country to another after war because of damages done by the invading army. Germany had to make many Reparations after WWI and they went into very deep debt.

7. Weimar System
Born In the aftermath of the WWI, the Weimer System was a Republic. It was relatively unsuccessful.
Later, it was blamed for the treaty of Versailles, and the overall weakening of Germany.

9. Great Depression
The Great Depression lead to a recall of short term American loans that helped them pay back their war reparations.

Most, though not all, of the unemployed were male. These men were almost certainly family men who could see no way ahead with regards to providing for their families. Money was required for food, heating a home, clothes etc. Most Germans saw the Weimer Republic as ineffective in helping.
