Series and Parallel Circuits
When there are two or more electrical devices present in a circuit with an energy source, they can be connected in series or connected in parallel. They usually include three things voltage difference, electrical energy, and a conductor.
3
Series Circuits In a series circuit, the current through every component is the same, and the voltage equals the voltages across each component. Basically series circuit have only one path for electrons to flow.
4
Parallel Circuits In a parallel circuit the voltage is the same across every component and the sum of the currents are equal to the current that flow from the source. Unlike a series circuit, a parallel circuit has multiple paths for current to flow.
