NF was a ‘supply depot’ for France They supplied France with furs so France could produce hats and other clothing items and make profit NF was not allowed to manufacture products…

The First Occupant hunters and people working at the trading posts did ALL THE WORK The merchants in France got all the profit New France = a big supply depot

Triangular Trade France had a trading network with its colony in North America and it’s colonies in the Caribbean…. The network looked like a big triangle- TRIANGULAR TRADE

Triangular Trade The mother country (France) would gather resources from all the colonies and sell back manufactured goods Furs from NF and things like sugar and tobacco from the Caribbean colines The colonies would also trade with one another. New France would supply the colonies in the Caribbean with beer, fish, wheat, flour, etc.
