2. Auditions Auditions: January 10, 2018
K-2nd – 3:15-5:15 (parent meeting 5:15)
3rd-5th – 5:45-8:30 (parent meeting before at 5:45)
Call Backs: January 11, 2018 (3:15-6:30)
Call backs will be posted online by 11:00pm on January 10th.

3. Preparing for Auditions
K-2nd – (Villagers/Castle Ensemble)
Learn “Be Our Guest #17 on rehearsal CD. Start towards the end after Mrs. Pott’s solo. Sing with expression and volume.
Be ready to learn some choreography while at auditions.
Practice saying Name loudly and making and animal sound with a motion.

4. Preparing For Auditions
3rd-5th - Ensemble Role Only (Villagers/Castle/Wolves):
Learn “Be Our Guest #17 on rehearsal CD. Start towards the end after Mrs. Pott’s solo. Sing with expression and volume.
Be ready to learn some choreography while at auditions.

5. Preparing for Auditions
3rd – 5th grades
Lead Ensembles and Principle Roles:
Must sign up on Mrs. McCarthy’s Classroom Door (204) for which one or two parts they are going to prepare (Doesn’t mean it is the only parts they will be considered for)
Mrs. McCarthy will then prepare sheet music, audition script, and an instrumental track (no words) and return to the student.
Students will then prepare their song with movements to perform alone.
Student will prepare lines in the script.

6. Lead Roles and Lead Ensembles
Night of 1st Audition:
Will get a chance to sing their part of their prepared song alone with movements.
Will learn some choreography during auditions and perform whole group.
Say Name loudly with expression and act like and animal.
If time, students will be able to read lines (we may run out of time and do this at call backs only)

7. Call Backs (only 3rd-5th)
Call backs will be posted by 11:00 pm at
Students will get a chance to perform their song again if needed.
Students will be doing a lot of reading from scripts. We will listen to everyone’s prepared scenes, but be prepared to read for another part if asked.

10. Commitment
EVERY single part is important and commitment is taken seriously. You may only miss 2 rehearsals before you will be removed from the cast.

All Cast 3:10-4:45 pm
Regular Rehearsals
Feb. 26-April 25th (no rehearsal during Spring Break)
Rehearsal days will be assigned after parts are assigned
